at Tiny Acres Preschool!
Encourage your child's curiosity and love for the natural world! Your child will spend time outside each day exploring the ranch, visiting the farm animals, harvesting in the garden and hiking around the farm. Each class focuses on a different farm or nature topic, and addresses various learning styles with age-appropriate, hands-on activities and explorations. Tiny Acres teaches Spanish lessons, beginning music concepts, and artist/composers of the month. We promote a safe, simple, purposeful play environment for children (4-5 years in age) so that their enthusiasm for being outside and caring for their world will continue at home and throughout their lives.

Thank you for taking interest in this amazing opportunity for your child! I am the proud owner of Tiny Acres Preschool. This is a wonderful “hands on” program for our next generation. I was born and raised on the property of Tiny Acres and couldn’t think of a better place to build my dream. I am the fifth generation to live and work on this land.
I graduated in 2005 from EWU with a degree in Elementary Education, an endorsement in Reading, and a minor in Special Education. I started teaching with a long term sub position in SPED Preschool and then taught 1st grade at Davis Elementary. Go Davis Dragons! During that time I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I wanted to do more with Early Learning in my community, so I joined the Blue Mountain Association for the Education for Young Children (affiliate of NAEYC). I served as secretary for 8 years until our chapter closed. Preschool has had my heart since the beginning! After getting married to my amazing husband Terry, I realized that it was time to pursue my true passion. With his help and motivation (he is a contractor), he helped me build my dream. Early childhood development is my passion and it's so important in this community. To help, I currently serve as secretary at the Walla Walla Children's Museum. I am excited to meet you and your families and get the opportunity to share this magical learning environment!
I was born and raised in San Francisco Peten, Guatemala. After receiving my teaching degree in 1997, I taught for three years before I met my husband while he was serving in the Peace Corps and we came to live in his hometown of College Place in late 2000s. I love to teach and for over 20 years, I’ve been working with children of all ages in the Walla Walla Valley; mostly with preschool and early elementary school students.
I graduated in 2024 from WWCC with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I did my practicums at Tiny Acres in 2021 and have been here since! Before joining the Tiny Acres Staff in 2022, I worked for over 12 years as the Spanish teacher and lead preschool teacher at Assumption School and Early Learning Center. I also taught in various classrooms at Blue Ridge Elementary, Palouse School, and WW Public Schools. I have a deep, life-long passion for helping young children grow, develop, and learn. I am the lead teacher for the Teeny Tiny three-year-old class on Fridays. It is a joy to teach in such a wonderful learning environment. Every day feels special when I see the kids' smiling faces!
I was born in Bakersfield, California and raised here in Walla Walla! After graduating high school, I went to WWCC where I earned an Associates in Business. I moved to Oregon and started working with kids as a nanny and in childcare center. I have since fell in love with this age group! I am experienced, reliable, and have a genuine passion for working with children. I have been providing exceptional care to families for over 4 years and have developed a strong understanding of the unique needs and interests of children of all ages. I am so excited to be transitioning into the education field! I am currently enrolled in an Early Childhood program and I get to learn from some of the best mentors I could ask for!
